Alex Edwards a native of Washington, Missouri joins Ozzie's staff as a baseball and basketball instructor. Graduating from Washington High School in 2003, Alex earned All-Conference and All-East Central honors in both baseball and football. Alex also was named to the Franklin County All-Star team in 2003 for Basketball. Alex continued playing baseball in college at Mineral Area College in Park Hills, MO. Alex was a starter as a pitcher and center fielder for Mineral Area College. From there Alex is continuing his education at the University of Missouri majoring in Secondary Education. Alex preaches hardwork, dedication and determination to his athletes. |

Julie Damico

Julie Damico has been teaching lessons for the past 7 years. Jule has an extensive background in softball, from playing to teaching. Julie graduated from Pacific High School with several honors. She was named the Four Rivers all-conference 3 times, school strikeout record holder, two-time all district and the 2003 Post Dispatch Athlete of the Year. Following Julie's outstanding high school career, Julie went on to play for Indiana State University where she also excelled in softball and academics. Julie graduated with a bachelors degree in exercise science, where she was a four year letter winner at ISU playing outfield and pitcher. Julie also had an impressive showing as a strength and conditioning All-American from 2005-2006. Julie also received the honor of the President Scholar Athlete of the Year for the 2006-2007 season. Julie will offer softball instruction as well as SASC (Speed & Agility with Strength & Conditioning) classes at Ozzie's.

Cherie Hasinbiller

Cherie is in her first season at Webster University as an assistant softball coach. She has spent the last four years as the head softball coach at Visitation Academy, where she led the team to 4 straight district championships. She has a bachelors degree in Physical Education from St. Mary’s University and her masters in Education from Lindenwood University. In college, Cherie excelled as a four-year letter winner for St. Mary’s University where she was named All-conference. Her team appeared in two NAIA National Championships during her career as a Lady Rattler. Cherie was named MVP by her teammates in 1982 where they placed 4th in NAIA National Championship. As a coach, she has always preached to her players that, “All the talent in the world will not take you anywhere without your TEAMMATES.” |

Aaron Wagner

Aaron Wagner comes to Ozzie Smith’s Sports Academy as the Facility Manager in Washington and a Soccer Instructor. Aaron has an elite background in the sport of soccer dealing with youth through adult athletes. Aaron brings with him a National Youth Coaching License, from the US Soccer Federation and a coaching/training background of over 5,000 players. Aaron will work to improve both the technical and tactical development of every player. He is currently the Youth Director for Vardar Missouri Soccer Club in St. Louis and former St. Francis Borgia Regional High School Girls Coach and Lindbergh High School Girls Coach. Aaron’s philosophy is to provide every player the opportunity to play, learn and succeed at the game of soccer, and every player to have the highest level of training available that is age appropriate and to make sure all of his students respect the game and most importantly their self.
